The dividend yield or dividend-price ratio of a share is the dividend per share, divided by the price per share. Some companies pay biannual or quarterly. It's tricks to the trade because won't pay out even though they may offer it. Beware of high Dividend Yield because some companies use it as a method to shark your money when the company may be in trouble. Do your homework before Investing.
